In poker tournaments the correct strategy is decisive. Therefore, in your first tournaments you should follow the following tips carefully. Click here to know about QQ.
Tight means you should not play all the hands you receive. There are many initial hands that are as bad as they seem. However, there are also hands that may seem good for the inexperienced player, but in reality, they are bad for playing, such as King Jack.
After the flop you should not marry any couple you have linked. You can save a lot of money by developing the ability to assess when you have won or when the bets are too high to continue playing.Visit this site to know about QQ.
Choosing the right starting hands is already half the battle and many of your rivals in the lower limits (in tournaments this depends on the buy-in you pay) they make many mistakes in that regard. They just play too many hands or don’t know when to abandon certain cards that seem better than they really are.
Aggressive means that with your strong hands you should always go for them all. Bet hard with strong hands and don’t try to slow play (play as if you had a weak hand to try to make your opponent’s bet).
The size of your raises must be determined by the phase of the tournament you are in. At the beginning, when there is still no suede, you should raise about three or four big blinds (BB) if you are the first to enter (all those before you have left or are the first to speak). As soon as they arrive, you can make increases of around 2.5 BB, and later, when you have already secured a prize, you can reduce your increases to 2 BB.
Follow the “Call 20” rule
Hand couples can be an opportunity to win big boats with a small investment. If one or more players were already in the hand before the flop, just paying can be a very profitable move.
As a rule, the amount you should pay to see should not be more than 5% of your stack of chips (that is, you must have 20 times as many chips left) and your rivals should have a similar or larger stack.
Cleaning is not an option
A typical beginner’s mistake: you have a speculative hand like 9Heart 8Heart and you want to take a look at the flop. The cheapest way to do this is to pay without more before the flop (cleaning) which means that you only pay the big blind instead of going up. But that is not a good idea!
It may seem that cleaning is interesting, but in most cases, it makes no sense. Instead it makes much more sense to enter the hand with a climb. This will allow you to win the pot before the flop or will allow you to convincingly represent a strong hand on the flop, because preflop has already shown strength.
Use continuation bets
When you have raised before the flop and one or two players have decided to pay you, you should bet half the pot on the flop. This kind of bet is called continuation bet.
To do so, the following conditions must be met:
- Apart from you, there must be no more than two other players in your hand
- Preflop you have represented a strong hand and entered the hand going up.
- In the flop no one has yet uploaded.
